DDR5内存在设计的时候为每128位的数据设置了一个8位的ECC纠错空间，这就使得片上ECC纠错拥有了极强的RAS功能，即可靠性、可用性和可维护性，进一步提高了内存工作的稳定性；

DDR5内存吸收借鉴了LPDDR 5的部分技术，例如支持RD、WR（读写）数据均衡。该功能不仅可以保护通道免受符号间干扰 (ISI) 的影响，增加冗余，还可实现更高的数据传输速率；

在DDR4内存时代，它支持写数据单项CRC校验错误，而DDR5将CRC校验错误的能力拓展到了读上，从而提供了额外的数据保护措施，避免通道间产生的数据错误。

DQS延迟监控机制支持是DDR5的新技术特点，它支持调整内存的延迟来补偿电压和温度变化，简言之，内存的工作状态将受到更严密的管控，充分保证内存工作的稳定性。
内存延迟影响有多大？
很多稍微接触了最新DDR5内存的读者都会有一个疑问，很多人说高频DDR4优于DDR5内存，这是真的吗？如果是，那么为什么？这就涉及到一个内存的关键性能指标：延迟。所谓的内存延迟时间，CAS即Column Address Strobe，是指内存接收到一条指令后要等待多少个时钟周期才能执行任务，延迟数据的值越小内存对数据的反应越快，性能越好；第二个则是RAS，即Row Address Strobe，是内存内存行地址传输到列地址的延迟时间，也是越短越好；第三个数值是RAS Prechiarge，即内存行地址脉冲预充电时间；最后一个则是Act-to-Prechiarge即内存行地址选择延迟，同样也是时间越短越好。
在最早一批上市的DDR5内存上，尤其是DDR5 4800的内存中，这四项数值普遍做得非常保守，这就造成了看起来等效频率大涨，但在部分游戏型应用测试中表现甚至不如DDR4 3600来得好的根本原因。但是，在游戏之外的诸多应用中，例如WINRAR、7-ZIP等压缩解压缩工具、Adobe相关软件、Office办公应用中，DDR5因为超高的等效频率远胜DDR4内存。而且，在最新的高频DDR5内存出现之后，这个差距在游戏上也得到了体现：DDR4被远远甩在后面。
我们不一样！GDDR、LPDDR和DDR5
可能很多人对这几个名称并不陌生，谈及手机、平板、电脑就不可能避开这几个名词，但是它们之间的区别还是比较明确的。DDR的正式名称是DDR SDRAM，即Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory，意为双倍速率同步动态随机存储器，是基于SDRAM基础上发展而来的。而LPDDR是在DDR的基础上多了LP（Low Power，低功耗）这样的前缀词，很明显，它的诞生主要是为了移动式电子产品等低功耗设备上使用，拥有比同代DDR内存更低的功耗和个小的体积，例如我们常用的手机几乎都是使用LPDDR内存的，但是，它在技术规格、频率、速度、以及容量上都会有所妥协。需要注意，部分特殊规格的超薄型笔记本电脑也开始采用这种LPDDR内存规格（通常为固化在笔记本主板上，不可升级更换）。
GDDR则是在DDR的基础上多了G（Graphics）前缀，主要用于高速图像处理的场合，可以理解为专为显卡而生的DDR显存，GDDR与DDR相比拥有更高的时钟频率和更小的发热量，最新一代的GDDR6显存标准规范主要由显示核心的厂商联合制定。但是别看名字都已经到了6，实际上它和DDR内存的迭代完全是两条道路，不可简单以数字大小来区分先进性，只能说，用途的差异导致了二者在规格上渐行渐远。
频率不再合适？MT/秒才是本真
DDR5内存时代，还有一个非常重要的变化那就是内存标称发生了改变。本文中也多以MHz来标识，实际上并不十分精确。这要从DDR内存的工作特性说起。DDR1内存的核心频率是和时钟频率相同的，到了DDR2、DDR3时才有了时钟频率的概念，就是将核心频率通过倍频技术得到的一个频率，数据传输频率就是传输数据的频率。DDR1在传输数据的时候在时钟脉冲的上升沿和下降沿都传输一次，所以数据传输频率就是核心频率的2倍；DDR2内存将核心频率倍频2倍所以时钟频率就是核心频率的2倍了，同样还是上升边和下降边各传输一次数据，所以数据传输频率就是核心频率的4倍。显然，现在一条内存例如DDR4 3600，这个3600这并不是真正意义上的MHz，可以说这只是等效频率（Effective clock rate）的概念，真正符合标称的，其实是MT/s。
DDR5内存上市之前，其实一直都是使用MHz来标注内存的“频率”，然而随着DDR5的上市，内存规范制定者JEDEC认为需要改变这个现象了，内存性能规格的单位选择了MT/s为主，英特尔和金士顿、美光、威刚、芝奇等内存企业纷纷响应个该策略，正在将内存的衡量单位由过去的MHz修改为MT/s——使用MT/s能更准确的表达内存的性能表现，而不是MHz这样的“等效频率”。
MT/s全称Million Transfers Per Second，即为每秒百万次传输，1T/s和1Hz，这两个单位前者指的是每秒做了一次传输，后者指每秒1时钟周期。正如我们所说的，DDR信号每个时钟信号可以传输2次，所以实际的传输速率为1Hz=2T/s，1MHz=2MT/s。
X.M.P是什么？
X.M.P全称是Extreme Memory Profile，是由英特尔最早于2007年推出的一项针对内存频率优化的技术，现在升级到XMP 3.0来支持DDR5。XMP 1.x、2.0都只支持两组配置档(Profile)，XMP 3.0则增加到了五组，其中三组出厂预设不能变更，另外两组允许玩家自行修改保存，为了防止乱改还支持CRC错误校验。
简单说，这就是一个预制了不同频率方案的内存SPD规格，在一定的安全范围内提供给消费者更多的频率选择，相当于官方的超频预制方案。使用的时候也非常简单，用户不需要自行修改内存设定参数的诸多细节，只要在BIOS中开启X.M.P模式，任选其中一个，就可让主板读取内存配置文件，对入门级用户十分友好，对DIY玩家也甚为方便。
更值得一提的是，DDR5内存由于集成了PMIC电源管理电路，因此对比早先的X.M.P 2.0可以更开放地单独调整电压，诸如VDD、VDDQ、VPP等等，而且这些都是由JEDEC、Intel共同讨论规范的内容，这样可以在不同的主板上保持一致性。
除此之外，配合支持DDR5的X.M.P 3.0还有一个非常优秀的功能——动态内存频率调整，简单说就是让内存拥有类似处理器睿频一样的动态频率调整方式。当然，使用这种模式的前提是必须为英特尔12代酷睿处理器及以上、内存为支持X.M.P 3.0认证的产品（DDR4、DDR5）就可以了。在BIOS中开启这个功能以后，系统高负载时自动切换到内存中X.M.P 3.0的高配置模式，低负载的时候回到JEDEC低负载设定。
具体到主板上，我们以华硕主板为例，开机按下Del键进入BIOS， 然后按下F7进入高级模式。切换选项卡到Ai Tweaker上，然后选择下方的Ai Overclock Tuner。
按下方向键将光标停留在本行，然后按下回车在下拉菜单中选择对应的X.M.P配置文件。
这个时候，就能看到Ai Overclock Tuner中出现了X.M.P的配置信息，并且显示当前配置文件的内存配置频率、设置，确认无误后，按下F10按键选择保存并退出即可让内存配置生效了。
